Feed the Forgotten
I read Tom Davis' blog (http://tomdavis.typepad.com/tom_daviss_blog/2009/06/three-little-words.html). He's a great author and speaker and he's passionate about adoption and helping the least. I really wanted to share this because I couldn't read it and not share it. Also because the Lord has been bringing up Uganda to me a lot recently. My students at school actually read a story called "Beatrice's Goat" about a little girl who is given a goat from Heifer Intl. The story is based in Uganda and my students have loved learning about it but have also begun to realize the extreme poverty there...and even those little 3rd graders said, "well what can we do?" So....what CAN we do?
This is how much it costs to provide food to starving children in Uganda...seriously.
$0.14 will provide 1 meal
